The Liberty Tennis Complex serves as the home to Liberty University men’s and women’s tennis teams. The Liberty Tennis Complex features 12 outdoor courts and six indoor courts in the new Liberty Indoor Tennis Center.  It also features the Cook Tennis Center, a building that holds locker rooms, a training room, a stringing room, coaches’ offices and a team room.

Liberty Athletics announced the plans for the Cook Tennis Center in November 2010, after Sherwin and Lora Cook pledged the lead gift for the tennis teams’ new homes.

Completed in early September 2011, the Cook Tennis Center contains all the necessities for a top-tier program in one location. On the ground level, student-athletes have access to men’s and women’s locker rooms, a training room and a stringing room. Upstairs features coaches’ offices as well as a team room.

The facility played host to the 2015 ITA Women’s Tennis Atlantic Regional and also hosted the 2017 ITA Men’s Tennis Atlantic Regional. The facility most recently played host to the 2021 ITA Women’s Atlantic South Regional and 2021 ITA Men’s Atlantic South Regional. Stadium seating was added to the facility and first used for the spring 2017 seasons for the Liberty men’s and women’s tennis programs.

The courts were recently resurfaced in June 2018.

The Liberty Indoor Tennis Center officially opened in Feb. 2021 and features six courts, seating for 100 fans, locker rooms, a team lounge, a laundry facility and a concessions area. The $5 million project was first announced on Nov. 19, 2019, and construction on the new facility began on April 23, 2020. The capital gift responsible for this construction project represented the largest single gift pledge to the Flames Club in athletics department history. A dedication ceremony for the new facility was held on Feb. 23, 2021.

The Liberty Tennis Complex has also provided a significant home-court advantage for the Flames and Lady Flames tennis programs over the last several years. Over the past four years, the Liberty men’s tennis squad is 27-3 at home. The Liberty women’s tennis team sports a 30-5 record during that span.
