• With the regular season concluded, the No. 3 seed Liberty Flames will face Lipscomb, FGCU and Jacksonville in Pool A when the ASUN Baseball Championship gets underway at Melching Field at Conrad Park in DeLand, Fla. Tuesday-Friday. Three of the four teams will move on to the semifinals along with the winner of Pool B on Saturday, with the winners meeting in the title contest on Sunday.
• Liberty has made the ASUN title game in each of its three seasons in the ASUN and won the ASUN title in their first year in the conference in 2019 held at Melching Field at Conrad Park. The Flames are 13-4 at the ASUN Championship.
• Liberty, 26-28 overall, finished the ASUN regular season with a 16-14 conference record and received the third seed based on RPI (92).
• Head Coach Scott Jackson is in his seventh season at Liberty. Jackson has led the Flames to a 221-144 record and three NCAA Regional appearances, the most of any coach in program history.
2023 ASUN Championship
• The 2023 ASUN Baseball Championship will feature eight teams in pool play. The teams will be split into four-team pools. The top three teams from Pool A and the winner of Pool B will advance to the semifinals on Saturday. The winners will meet for the title game on Sunday.
• Pool A: Lipscomb, FGCU, Liberty and Jacksonville
• Pool B: Stetson, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State and Austin Peay

Liberty in the ASUN Tournament
• The Flames have qualified for the ASUN Baseball Championship in each of their four seasons in the ASUN Conference.
• Liberty has played in the title game every year since joining the ASUN in 2019. The Flames return to Melching Field at
Conrad Park where they won the 2019 ASUN title in its first season in the league. The 2019 Flames were the first team to
capture the ASUN title in their first year in the conference since UCF in 1993.
• This week will be the first time the Flames will be the No. 3 seed for the ASUN Baseball Championship. Liberty has been
the No. 1 seed twice (2021 & 2022) and in 2019 was the tournament’s No. 2 seed.
• The Flames have posted an 11-4 record in its three seasons in ASUN postseason play.
